Information for
Digital recording of student attendance
Smartphone instead of pen and paper - that's the idea behind Studo's Digital Attendance List (DAL). Connected to the campus management system of a university, the university administration can manage courses and the associated data on attendance times in the Studo web tool and is thus relieved. Teachers can easily record the attendance of their students using a live QR code - both in face-to-face courses and in online classes. Students, in turn, always have an overview of their individual attendance rate for courses.
The Digital Attendance List is open and expandable. This allows universities to individually develop additional management modules such as advanced statistics or integrations with other systems. The DAL was developed and launched in cooperation with CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences.
You can try out the demo version of the Digital Attendance List here:
The course dates are imported from the university's campus management system into the Digital Attendance List.
During the courses, the students' attendance is registered using live QR codes, which are provided by the lecturers for the students to scan.
The QR code can be scanned via the Studo App or via a web app. Teachers can see in real time how many students have just checked in. In addition, students can call up their individual attendance rate.
Via the Digital Attendance List, the university administration can also calculate the attendance rate of students and export this data.
Via the Digital Attendance List, students can also submit exemption requests and check-in resubmission requests. These requests can be processed directly in the web tool by staff members with the appropriate role configuration and exempted hours are immediately reflected in the students' attendance times.
The DAL is also available as a white label solution in your university's design.
When developing the Digital Attendance List, we also gave top priority to the best possible implementation in terms of data protection and security. This additional module is hosted by Studo on behalf of the university in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), so that as little effort as possible is required from university employees. As with the Studo App and all other Studo development projects, the Digital Attendance List is a 100% GDPR-compliant solution hosted in the EU by EU companies. You can find more information here.
