First semester students enter lecture halls for the first time. Students in higher semesters return from their well-deserved holidays. Long story short: The campuses are busy again.
The beginning of a new academic year is a very exciting phase of the year – also for Studo. It’s a time filled with teamwork, project launches and milestones. Here’s everything that happened in our traditional start-of-semester review:
New cooperations in Slovenia
In 2022, our Maribor team officially became a part of Studo. Ever since then, they have taken care of our cooperations with Slovenian universities and student organizations. This semester start, they got to rejoice at not one, not two, but six new cooperation partners. At six universities and faculties, the Studo App is now the official campus app. For example, we got to roll out our Digital Student Card and Digital Attendance List at Alma Mater Europaea.
In total, more than 20,000 students in Slovenia use the Studo App – that’s one quarter of all students. This makes us incredibly happy and is also a great recognition for our local team.
7th semester start in Austria
Even though it was the seventh semester start for our team in Austria it’s still everything but ordinary. From September to November, everyone is excited to fix “bugs”, respond to support tickets and distribute Studo PRO vouchers.
Talking of vouchers: Like every year, we got the chance to visit Johannes Kepler University Linz and our Studo community on site. By the way: This community has grown to a whopping 200,000 people and made the Studo App number one in the “education” app store charts.
In the beginning of October our cooperation with the Pädagogische Hochschule Wien started. We’re very proud to have won the biggest Austrian university for teacher education as a partner. We are very much looking forward to working with you in the future and thank you for your trust!
Studo community in Germany
Are there more Studo users in Austria or in Germany? Until recently, the Austrian community was always slightly ahead in this race. However, this has now turned round – thanks to students recommending the Studo App to each other and thanks to the amazing work of our community team.
In Germany, we’re also very excited about the collaboration with universities for our Digital Attendance List: Right now, our attendance tracking system is in testing mode on several major universities.
What would semester start be without teamwork?
Short answer: Not feasible. Long answer: Managing a giant project like the semester start is only possible by working together across all departments – wholeheartedly and fully motivated. Our technical infrastructure has to be maintained 24/7 to ensure the Studo App is always up and running. Whenever there occur problems when using the app, our support team is there to help students out. Several thousand support tickets have been handled during the last months. Besides this, we’re of course also busy communicating with our community and university partners.
As always, we are full of motivation for the new academic year after the start of this semester. We are looking forward to new projects, new acquaintances and new experiences with the whole team.
Thank you!
A heartfelt "thank you" to all our cooperation partners for their trust and excellent collaboration in Austria, Germany, Slovenia and Switzerland. The exchange with you means everything to us and regularly allows us to grow beyond ourselves.
We of course also want to thank our app users: Dear students, without you love for Studo – every since our very beginnings – all of this wouldn’t be possible. We will continue to do our best to provide you with the most useful, most secure and best app for your studies!
We wish all students, university staff and supporters of Studo a successful and happy academic year 2023/24.
All the best,
Your Studo team ❤️
