The Studo team has always set the highest standards when it comes to the quality and security of the Studo Campus App. This is reflected both in Studo’s values and corporate philosophy, and in the desire to have the Studo Campus App continuously tested by external testing bodies. Over the past three months, the Studo Campus App has now been put through its paces by TÜV SÜD. The result:
The Studo Campus App meets the recognised requirements for software quality in terms of functionality (ISO/IEC 25051:2014). The audit of the underlying quality system (development and maintenance processes as well as quality management based on ISO 9001) revealed no issues.
“The certification process went smoothly, quickly and efficiently,” says managing director Andraz Hajdenkumer, “even before contacting TÜV, we met all the criteria for successful certification. For TÜV, it was a matter of documenting this in detail and substantiating the functioning of the processes with case studies. The audit then confirmed that all our processes are in line with the latest standards in software development – both in terms of functionality and security. Furthermore, the requirements for data protection and data security were also confirmed.”
TÜV SÜD Software Certification Mark
TÜV SÜD was chosen as the independent, external certification body because having an app certified by TÜV SÜD builds trust among both students and universities. Hajdenkumer explains that the aim is also to make things easier for university partners: “In many discussions with universities, we have found that it is very time-consuming for IT and data protection officers to review new projects promptly and thoroughly. There was therefore a desire to bring in an independent external audit to facilitate rapid decision-making. As a renowned and independent institution, TÜV SÜD fills this gap and builds trust on both sides.”
The certificate is intended to underline Studo’s high technical and security standards, as well as its ambitions and expertise. Students and universities, for their part, can rest assured that Studo fully meets these standards.
For the developing team of the Studo Campus App and the rest of the Studo team, the certification confirms what they have been working on over the last few years, says Hajdenkumer: “Namely, that the Studo Campus App is a secure and technically high-quality product. It’s very pleasing to have this confirmed once again in collaboration with external software experts.” In the future, the Studo Campus App will be audited annually by TÜV SÜD and further optimised based on the feedback.
