Automate Microsoft Teams for every course
Teams, channels and meetings set up by hand every semester. Connect once and it runs automatically, from your campus management system.
End manual MS Teams setup every semester
Each semester, staff manually create Teams for every course, add students, configure channels, and schedule meetings. It takes hours and leaves room for error. With MS Teams Sync, course data flows directly from your campus management system into Microsoft Teams, automatically, before the first session begins.

Help your staff collaborate in MS Teams too
Your staff needs good communication channels too. Build your organisational structure in Microsoft Teams from the data already in your system. Dedicated Teams are created for every department and unit, so staff find the right channel from day one, without group chats scattered across email threads.
Configure exactly what gets synced
Every course gets a Team with the right members, every session gets a meeting link, and attendees are notified before it starts, without any manual setup. Attendance in online sessions is recorded automatically and saved to the Digital Attendance List. Configure once: Teams per course, channels per group, students from enrolment data.

How often does the synchronisation run?
Synchronisation runs automatically every 6 hours. The first few runs take longer, as creating new Teams in Microsoft Teams is time-intensive. Subsequent runs are significantly faster. Error logs are available in the system configuration page if something does not sync as expected.
What happens to a Team when a course ends?
You decide. Teams can be automatically deleted, archived, or left unchanged when a course is no longer active in your system. The same options apply when an entire semester is removed. Configuration is set once and applies to all courses by default.
Can we control which courses get a Team?
Yes. Course-level settings let you override the default synchronisation behaviour for individual courses. You can also configure whether events are created as calendar invites with RSVP, anonymous online meeting links posted to the channel, or not synced to Teams at all.
Does MS Teams Sync require the Digital Attendance List?
No. MS Teams Sync is fully standalone and connects directly to your campus management system. Attendance tracking in online meetings is an optional feature that works alongside the Digital Attendance List if you have it, but it is not a requirement.
What type of events can be created in Microsoft Teams?
Two options are available. Calendar events send invitations directly to participants with optional RSVP. Online meetings create anonymous meeting links that are posted automatically to the relevant course channel when the session is about to start.
Can staff use this for internal departmental organisation, not just teaching?
Yes. MS Teams Sync can create Teams and channels based on any organisational unit in your system, not just courses. This makes it useful for faculty offices, administrative departments, and student services teams who need structured internal channels without manual setup.
